Sennheiser’s Newest Earbuds at CES 2024 Can Monitor Heart Rate and Body Temperature
So far, the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 has revealed a number of eye-catching devices – from the Rabbit R1 to Sony’s Vision Pro competitor. Now, Sennheiser, the German audio giant, has announced another cool gadget in the form of the new Momentum Sport headphones.
These headphones are not like ordinary wireless headphones. They can monitor your heart rate with a photoplethysmography sensor and measure your body temperature with a separate temperature sensor, giving you real-time information. You can also add your heart rate data to the Apple Health app and sync with other apps like Garmin, Polar, and Strava.
This makes these earbuds a great choice for people who want to track their health data, and those who may want to switch to smart bands or watches but still want to track their health data.
The Sennheiser Momentum Sport headphones are designed to be semi-open to allow users to remain aware of their surroundings. They also feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, which isolates external noise and allows users to focus on their music. In addition, the headphones are shockproof and IP55 rated for dust and water protection, so they are suitable for an active lifestyle.
As for battery life, these headphones are said to last up to six hours on a single charge, and with the case you’ll get another 18 hours more.
Sennheiser Momentum Sport headphones Price and availability
The headphones will be available in three colors: Polar Black, Burned Olive and Metallic Graphite from April 9, 2024. In the US, they retail for $330, which is more expensive than Apple’s second-generation AirPods Pro, the Samsung Galaxy. Buds2 Pro and Google Pixel Buds Pro.
